My background in population medicine, public health, and social work, drives my passion for education, health promotion, and advocacy. I’ve co-created and facilitated numerous workshops for youth and health professional audiences, all using a warm, nonjudgmental, and easy-to-understand approach. Currently, I am offering the following:
2SLGBTQIA+ Intro Workshop
- This introductory one hour workshop can be offered in-person local to the Waterloo-Wellington Regions, or virtually, and adapted based on your needs.
- Topics covered include:
- Reviewing the prevalence and importance of these diverse experiences,
- The sex assigned at birth, gender identity, gender expression, and sexuality/attraction spectrums,
- How to use inclusive language and pronouns, and;
- Specific takeaways for health professionals, educators, or families, tailored to your audience.
- This workshop is informed by personal lived experience, continued education and professional development, and experience supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ clients and individuals.
